In Alexandria, Va, Last Patrol volunteers joined partner groups in an honor ceremony for Conrad Theroux, a retired Coast Guard veteran in hospice care with @ProMedica Home Health, Hospice & Palliative Care
Conrad served 20 years in the @Coast Guard and continued to work in the department as a civilian. Today he is battling incurable cancer and on his Last Patrol.
Our ceremony, led by LtCol (ret) Justin Orabona, honored Conrad on his birthday. Loudoun County, VA-based @Chariots of Honor, @Patriot Guard Riders, and others host a celebratory salute. Our event was attended by family, friends, neighbors, and military and veterans including the US Coast Guard Academy Class of 1994.
Many attendees testified to Conrad honorable service. We presented him and his family several patriotic gifts, including a Patriot’s Quilt. Music was performed by a violinist @Peter Wilson of "The President's Own" United States Marine Band and singing.
