“I served with the Big Red One in Vietnam.”

Last Patrol volunteers honored James Behanna, an Army veteran in home hospice care with @Prisma Health. We presented him several patriotic gifts in gratitude.

James entered the Army in July 1968. He served in Vietnam from 1969-70 with the 1st Infantry Division, known as @The Big Red One in Vietnam. This name is long associated with the unit because of the red colored “1” on their shoulder patch.

James remembers his military buddies fondly. After military service, he went to work for @General Electric Company and eventually retired from there. He’s married to his lovely wife, Sandra, and they have 2 daughters, 2 granddaughters, and 2 great-grandchildren. James loves guns and fishing and lived an active outdoorsman life.

We salute you, Sir, as you proceed on your Last Patrol
